Job Purpose Statement/s:

North Wasco County School District is pleased to announce that we are seeking qualifed applicants for the position of Lead After School Program Coordinators for the After School Program (PT). This position will work from 2:00-5:30 PM, Monday - Thursday (potentially Friday’s). We are very proud of our District and the teachers, administrators, and support staff that provides the best education possible for the children of our community. The Elementary program will provide services to students after school until 5:00 or 5:30 on many student contact days. Assignment times for Lead Coordinators will vary based on program needs. This position does not hold any staff supervisory responsibilities.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and experience in working with children and/or young adolescents; ability to meet the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds 

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Collaborates with Program Director in planning and scheduling field trips and assemblies
  2. Provides academic support for students
  3. Plans, organizes and prepares snack and activities
  4. Maintains an attractive and clean learning environment
  5. Collaborates with Program Director in data collection as prescribed by the Program Director and Grant requirements
  6. Assists in preparation of teaching aids and/or material
  7. Collaborates with Program Director in implementing behavioral programs
  8. Maintains strict confidentiality. Does not relate any information to parents or other personnel outside the school environment.
  9. Meets frequently with Program Director for purposes of efficient planning and delivery of instructional support.
  10. Attends all required meetings called by the Program Director
  11. Functions as an integral member of program staff
  12. Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with district personnel
  13. Informs parents of student progress
  14. Collaborates with school teams to support student engagement in the program

Certificates and licenses are not required for this position.
